Food was delicious! We had a super nachos with carne asada and a super burrito with al pastor. Th
One of the best, if not the best Mexican spots in HMB! We stopped here on our way back home from the beach. Love the little chip and salsa bar (the green salsa is yummy). We ordered the carne asada super nachos to share, and it was huge! Tons of meat and fresh chips. My husband got the jumbo burrito (it includes everything a super burrito has, but with extra lettuce and meat), and I ordered a super burrito. We ended up taking the burritos home since we were stuffed from the nachos. It's not your cheapest place to eat at, but it's worth it. Nachos are about $15, super burrito was around $13 and the jumbo one was $16. Happy eating!
Such a hidden gem!! The service was fast and kind! Lots of food options to choose from. All fairly priced and generous portion. I was craving some fish tacos so I ended up getting 2! My friend got a burrito and 2 tacos de Buche to share. Not sure what buche was but I ate it and liked it!! I later found out it was pork stomach.. lol. Still yummy. It was not too fatty and had lots of flavor! Like how they have a free self serve salsa bar + chips. The green salsa verde is the way to go! Fish tacos came with lettuce, pico de gallo, and sour cream. Tbh I think there was way too much lettuce. The fish was soft and flakey. Pretty tasty! Overall, I would come back and recommend this spot to those who are craving some authentic Mexican food in Half Moon Bay!
The food here is deliscious... when we are looking for something quick and mexican while visiting HMB we stop by pick up and go. We primarily come for the carne asada street tacos. We tried the Birria here for the first time and would say it's not your typical birria tacos... the flavor was bland and no dipping sauce...very soft and not grilled crunchy.
California still has awesome Mexican / taquerias and this place meets that high bar for sure. I got regular carnitas burrito which is my measuring stick and I ordered it extra crispy. Definitely delivered. Crispy meat (which lots of regular taquerias can't do properly), flavourful, juicy. The tortilla was crispy as well. A hidden gem in a mall. Very friendly service as well. Only thing is that boy have prices for taquerias gone up by a lot in Cali. No fault against this place but coming from Canada all the food prices in the Bay Area are getting outrageous! At least $15 for a burrito - that's CAD$20!! Ridiculous.
Late night Mexican food cravings in Halfmoon Bay. I'm so happy we found this place. Definitely hits the spot. Menu was a little bit overwhelming... not to mention we were famished and practically wanted to order everything on the menu. We narrowed it down to their quesa Birria, taquitos, pupusas, and some tacos (fish & carne asada). The chips are served warm. They also make pupusas FRESH, so just be mindful of the wait for this. It is worth it. This place is bomb. Generous portions & really delicious Mexican food. Highly recommend.
